An easy peasy snowshoe hike at Passo Cereda
The snowshoe hike from Passo Cereda to Malga Fossetta is an enchanting winter excursion, suitable for those seeking an immersive experience in nature without facing excessive difficulties.
It’s easy, ideal for families and beginners alike.
We reach Passo Cereda (1,369 m above sea level) by car and, with snowshoes and poles, we take the road that will lead us to Malga Fossetta (1,570 m above sea level).
The route, about 7 km round trip with an elevation gain of 370 meters and a travel time of about 2 hours, winds through snowy fir woods and wide open spaces.
Malga Fossetta is closed in winter, but after a beautiful walk in the snow, with rosy cheeks and a smile on your face, there’s nothing better than stopping for a regenerating packed lunch, immersed in the silence of nature, or, returning to the starting point, enjoying typical Trentino dishes in the restaurants of Passo Cereda, such as canederli, gnocchi, steaming polenta with venison stew, or platters of local cheeses and cured meats.
